Primary Schools Tag A Huge Hit

On Friday 5th of March, 11 local schools entered the Lurgan Tigers & IRFU Primary Schools Tag Blitz.  Teams from Maralin Village, Waringstown, Lurgan Model, Tullygally, Tannaghmore, Bleary, Dickson, St Teresa's, Carrick, Kings Park & Moira entered the blitz with a combination team also being made with one player from each of the schools to give a total of 12 teams.  The weather was nearly perfect and the blitz got underway at 12.30 with each team playing 3 group matches.

Group A) Carrick, Bleary, St Teresa's, ComboTeam
Group B) Tullygally, Tannaghmore, Model, Dickson
Group C) Waringstown, Maralin, Kings Park, Moira

St Teresa's, Tannghmore & Waringstown finished unbeaten in their groups and after a short lunch break all teams played one final fixture pitted against teams who finished in a similar position in other groups.

The final round of matches looked like this

Dickson v Combination
Moira V Model
Kings Park V Tullygally
Bleary V Maralin
Carrick V Tannaghmore
Waringstown V St Teresa's
